  lett is back with a vengance!.

  * the last money-begging effort increased donations by 15% for two months; a letter by a 13 year old who donated is read out loud.

  * since last may "so many good things have happened".

  These guys are hardened liars. Anything they say is a lie and anything they deny the opposite is true. If they say that donation went up by 15% I would suggest the opposite is true. They will never say contribution are plummeting after the last big money grab because this would cause an even further decline in contributions so it is deny deny deny to keep the money coming in.

  If they say: "The governing body has re-analysed ways to cut back at all branches to re-direct money to the field. including long-standing Bethel routines and services".

  You can bet the money is going towards anticipated multi child molestation pay outs and huge costs in legal representation to keep from going under. The lawsuit lawyers are like sharks that smell blood in the water and are circling around the Watchtower carcass to get their share of the banquet to feast on. We should be hearing very soon now about many Kingdom Hall being put on the market to help this corporation from drowning in debt.

  Ex JW's - Which Christian denomination are you with now and why?

  this is a question for ex jw's who have joined another christian faith group.

  the purpose of my question iis to find out which christian faith group you chose after leaving watchtower and what convinced you to travel this new spiritual path you are on.

  i am interested to know because i personally would like to find a genuine faith group where i can feel true christian liberty as i initially thought i had with the witnesses.

  About 15 years ago I got baptized in the assembly of God church but about 3 months latter I found out the Bible was all bull shit so that ended my gullibility they are all full of crap about their imaginary friend.

  Pascual Jordan first suggested that since the positive energy of a star’s mass and the negative energy of its gravitational field together may have zero total energy, conservation of energy would not prevent a star being created by a quantum transition of the vacuum. George Gamow recounted putting this idea to Albert Einstein: “Einstein stopped in his tracks and, since we were crossing a street, several cars had to stop to avoid running us down”.[3]
  The zero-energy universe theory originated in 1973, when Edward Tryon proposed in the Nature journal that the universe emerged from a large-scale quantum fluctuation of vacuum energy, resulting in its positive mass-energy being exactly balanced by its negative gravitational potential energy.[4]
  Free-lunch interpretation[edit]
  A generic property of inflation is the balancing of the negative gravitational energy, within the inflating region, with the positive energy of the inflaton field to yield a post-inflationary universe with negligible or zero energy density.[5][6] It is this balancing of the total universal energy budget that enables the open-ended growth possible with inflation; during inflation, energy flows from the gravitational field (or geometry) to the inflaton field—the total gravitational energy decreases (i.e. becomes more negative) and the total inflaton energy increases (becomes more positive). But the respective energy densities remain constant and opposite since the region is inflating. Consequently, inflation explains the otherwise curious cancellation of matter and gravitational energy on cosmological scales, which is consistent with astronomical observations.[7]
  Quantum fluctuation[edit]
  Due to quantum uncertainty, energy fluctuations such as an electron and its anti-particle, a positron, can arise spontaneously out of vacuum space, but must disappear rapidly. The lower the energy of the bubble, the longer it can exist. A gravitational field has negative energy. Matter has positive energy. The two values cancel out provided the universe is completely flat. In that case, the universe has zero energy and can theoretically last forever.[4][8]

  how can a nothing condition with the potential to unleash the energy/mass/ spacetime of our universe have been nothing?

  Who is to say that nothing ever existed in a total form? Nobody! We need first determine what/whether total absence of something or anything for that matter is even possible. In terms of what a modern human might be able to imagine with out a critical thinking who knows what we might come up with and the variable possiblities. I think that is why quantum mechanics is counter intuitive Ultimate Reality doesn't match up with perceived reality with the senses which can be mistaken for the ultimate.

  until 1990 they were a straightforward publishing business with the tremendous advantage of free labour in production and free distribution agents.

  since then they've been relying on donations for literature to keep the old model going.
